Dissolved Detergents SAM Kit measures Detergent levels 0-2.50 ppm and has a digital LED readout
The I-2017 Detergens Meter is designed for accurately and quickly measuring chlorine in water levels from 0 - 5.00 ppm. The methylene blue active substances (MBAS) method is used in a 3-minute procedure to measure anionic detergents in the 0-3 ppm (mg/L) range. The procedure features a unique extraction/sampling technique that eliminates several steps required in other test procedures and provides increased sensitivity. Anionic detergents react with methylene blue to form a blue-colored complex that is extracted into an immiscible organic solvent. Results are expressed in ppm (mg/L) as linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS), equivalent weight 325.
Shelf-life: The shelf-life of R-9400 is 5 months and of R-9404 and R-9423 is 8 months. We recommend stocking quantities accordingly.
This device has LED display for precise and accurate readout and is easy to use. Once the I-2017 has been purchased the cost per test is only $1.02.

How to use:
Before beginning the test, the I-2001 must be set to zero. Press the power key to turn on the device. The display will show "det". Insert the ZERO ampule supplied with the Vacu-vials kit flat end first into the sample cell compartment. Place the light shield over the ZERO ampoule and press the zero/test key. The "det" symbol will flash for approximately 8 seconds, then the display will show "0.0.0". Follow the test procedure in the Chlorine Vacu-vials kit also shown below.
