Particle Matter Sensor used with the S-200 gas detector base

The Aeroqual Particle Matter (PM) sensor can be used with the Series-200 gas detector base.  The PM sensor could be used with your existing S-200 or a newly purchased base.  The PM sensor will measure particle matter at pm 2.5, or pm 10.

The Aeroqual Series-200 portable monitor base has a 24-hour battery life and pairs with multiple different gas detector sensors. Its LED screen gives a constant readout of gas concentration levels.

These are the gases that can be measured by the various sensor heads the S200 base accepts: Particulate Matter (PM), Ozone (O3), VOC, Formaldehyde (CH2O), Chlorine (Cl2), Nitrogen Dioxide (N02), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Perchloroethylene (C2Cl4), NMHC, Methane (CH), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Hydrogen (H2), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), and Ammonia (NH3).

The Series 200 package indicates the type of base, the sensor head included (if applicable), the cord style, and the battery type. The paper inside the package indicates the URL where the Series 200 user guide can be downloaded.

The plug pack has 2 sections, the tip that plugs into the wall outlet (in this case, American style), and the power adapter brick. The Power and menu buttons, and device name, are on the front of the monitor.

2 ports are on the bottom, a port to receive the optional temperature and relative humidity sensor and the port for the power cord. The first step is connecting the battery pack to the monitor base. To do so, remove the blue battery casing. Squeeze the tabs and work the battery casing free of the base. This can take a bit of effort.

Now pull out the battery pack. This also can take some effort. Flip the battery over to access the wiring, and insert the plug into the battery port. Make sure the wires are tucked behind the battery as you work the battery back inside its tabs. Replace the blue battery cover, ensuring that the tabs snap firmly into place.

The Series 200 base is now ready to receive its gas sensor head, and to be plugged in for charging. Once charged, the Series 200 monitor base can be used portably for 24 hours. Its long battery life and multiple compatible gas detectors make the Series 200 monitor an ideal instrument for field safety gas detection.
