The K-1605 Bromine Kit was designed to accurately measure the levels of Bromine in water from 0-2.2 ppm and 0-11 ppm. K-1605 uses the DPD MethodThe bromine test method employs the DPD chemistry. Potassium iodide is added to the sample before analysis. Bromine reacts with the iodide to liberate iodine. The iodine reacts with the DPD (N, N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine) to form a pink color. Results are expressed in ppm (mg/L) bromine as Br2

How to use:

  1. Add 5 drops of Activator Solution to empty sample cup
  2. Fill the sample cup to the 25 mL mark with sample water.Fill the sample cup to 25ml
  3. Snap the ampoule tip.
  4. Mix ampoule by inverting several timesTip the vacu-vial back and forth to mix
  5. Dry the ampoule, and wait 1 minute for color development.
    Dry vacu-vial and then insert into the I-2019
  6. Obtain results using the appropriate comparator and finding the best color match.
