In this video we demonstrate the use of the Aeroqual Series 500 in a real-world demonstration of VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) emitted as gases into the air around a freshly laid epoxy floor. The demonstration begins with exterior readings that show very minimal VOC’s. As the high-range sensor that accurately reads 0-500 ppm (parts per million) is moved closer to the interior room that has the freshly laid floor, the readings jump up in 30 second intervals. The Aeroqual 500 updates its readings every 30 seconds with accuracy up to 500 ppm. The sensor will continue to show higher readings, but the accuracy goes downhill quickly after it exceeds 500 ppm. Due to the high VOC emissions, this is not an ideal tool to be used around fresh epoxy; however, it provides a great example of the functions of the machine in a real-world situation.

A better sensor option, which we also sell, is the high-range Aeroqual VOC sensor head that uses the PID technology. This sensor has a range of 0 – 1000 ppm.
The high-level Aeroqual VOC cartridge sensor heads, both GSS technology and PID technology, are compatible with the Aeroqual Series 200, Series 300, and Series 500 gas monitor bases.
