CHEMetrics Vacu-vials self-filling ampoules are a great way to test for dissolved substances in liquid. Unlike our visual test kits, the Vacu-vials test kit allows you to obtain an instrumental result using the CHEMetrics Direct-Redout Photometers or any spectrophotometer capable of accepting a 13m diameter round cell. When using equipment from another manufacturer, set the spectrophotometer to absorbance mode, select the wavelength specified by the Vacu-vials kit instructions, and follow the test procedure. The K-7433 Dissolved Ozone Meter is designed for accurately and quickly measuring ozone in water levels from 0 - 0.75 ppm.

While traditional methods often require multiple steps and thorough preparation, these test kits allow you to obtain dependable results with a few simple steps. By simplifying the testing method, Vacuvials test kits reduce the potential for operator error. Additionally, each of the ampoules contained in the test kits is vacuum sealed which helps eliminate the problem of obtaining inaccurate results from stale or unstable reagents. These reagents are stored right in the tip of each ampoule and sealed in glass, thereby minimizing direct contact with the chemicals.

This device uses the Indigo Method for testing. This method is based on the colorization of dye by ozone, where the loss of color is directly proportional to the ozone concentration. The results are then displayed on the monitor in ppm (mg/L) of ozone present. K-7433 Vacu-vials are used with the I-2022 Dissolved Ozone Meter which gives the digital readout of the ppm (mg/L) of ozone.
How to Use:
|1. Fill the sample cup to the 25 mL mark with the sample to be tested being careful to minimize turbulence.
|2. Immediately place the Vacu-vial ampoule tip-first into the sample cup. Snap the tip and the ampoule will automatically fill.
|To mix the ampoule, tilt it from side to side, allowing the bubble to travel from end to end.
|4. Dry the ampoule then insert it into the photometer, flat end first, and obtain a reading in ppm.
