Method:

The K-7512 CHEMets Visual Kit is visual indicator kit for measuring oxygen in water levels from 0-12.  This device uses the Indigo Carmine Method for testing.  In an acidic solution, oxygen oxidizes the yellow-green colored leuco form of indigo carmine to form a highly colored blue dye. The resulting blue color is proportional to the dissolved oxygen concentration in the sample. The results are displayed on the monitor in ppm (mg/L) Oxygen present.

1. Fill the sample cup to the 25 mL mark with the sample to be tested.	2. Place the ampoule tip-first into the sample cup. Snap the tip and the ampoule will automatically fill.
3. To mix the ampoule, tilt it from side to side, allowing the bubble to travel from end to end. Dry the ampoule and wait 1 minute for color development.	4. To obtain results place the ampoule between the color standards, moving it along the comparator until you can determine the closest match.
