This the new and improved Nitrogen Dioxide (N02) Sensor Head uses Gas Sensitive Electrochemical (GSE) technology to detect Nitrogen Dioxide from 0-1 ppm with 0.001 ppm resolution and <±0.02 ppm accuracy (in concentrations from 0 - 0.2 ppm) or  <± 10% accuracy (in concentrations from 0.2 -1 ppm). 

This sensor uses an active sensor technology with an internal fan to pull air across the GSE sensor at a specific flow rate for accurate gas detection.  This fan pulls a stream of air past the sensor every 60 seconds providing a new reading of NO2 levels and resulting in a 30 second response time. The previous versions of the NO2 sensor head used a less-specific electrochemical sensor that was cross-reactive to atmospheric ozone. This created difficulties in obtaining accurate measurements and customers would often need to use a second handheld monitor to simultaneously measure ozone. The release of this NO2 sensor head that uses a sensor with an O3 filtering layer greatly improves usability.

 

This sensor head will be a direct fit onto any Ranger, Series-300, or Series-500 Aeroqual ozone monitor.  This head can be purchased as an addition to your existing monitor, or with a new base unit.  To purchase with a base unit see our Aeroqual ozone monitor page.  If you currently have an Aeroqual ozone monitor this sensor will be a direct fit for your current monitor.  The Ranger, Series-300, or Series-500 will automatically detect this as a 0-1 ppm NO2 head and react accordingly.
